50 litre Still Starter Kit – 50 litre still

50 Litre Still Starter Kit, is used to ferment 2 × 25 litre washes for the 50 litre still.

Starter Kit Package Contains :

• 2 × 25 litre pail and lid fermenters
• taps × 2
• airlocks × 2
• grommets × 2
• 2 × packets of turbo yeast
• 1 × Alcometer
• 1 × Hydrometer

You will also require 7 kgs of sugar or dextrose per fermenter ( not included )

Step one:

Add the 7 kgs of sugar into one of the fermenters, add 10 litres of water ( warm water if you wish, remember hot water can destroy the yeast ) into the fermenter, and desolve the sugar. Fill the fermenter to 25 litres. Add one packet of yeast, sprinkle the yeast over the top of the water, you may stir gently if you wish. Fit the lid, with the grommet and airlock installed.

Step two:

After 5 days use the Hydrometer to test the wash, when it reads 980 or 990 it is ready to distil.
