Reflux Head:

Used when the collect needs to be free from flavours, ie straight ethanol.
We use a refluxing medium in the tower to condensate the unwanted flavours and return them back to the boiler.
We carbonise the alcohol to remove any impurities that may have been collected.
We make the wash with sugar , yeast & water

Pot head Condenser:

Used when the collected spirit needs to contain the flavour you have made in the wash.
We carbonise the alcohol to remove any impurities that may have been collected.

Use:

  • Rum from molasses
  • Whiskey from corn
  • Peach schnapps from peaches

Should you loose some of the flavour after carbonising increase the strength of the initial wash
