Prominent on the nose more than anywhere else.

They add a great deal to that whiskey bouquet.

Found in Lowland Scotland where they prefer the sweeter Whiskey.

Whereas in the Highland Whiskies which are bitter and have more bite, they use  the Astringent Notes.
